TOO INTELLIGENT TO BE MARRIED

Two very intelligent people can't make a good marriage. A successful marriage relationship is built on two people that are willing to give and take from point to point in their marriage.One person in the marriage must play the fool at times , if not all the time, until the second party catches up and understands that the one playing the fool does so because he or she has a better  understanding of what a marriage should be.
Marriage is a good thing , and like every good thing it demands sacrifices, . The one underlying truth about sacrifices is that it must cost you something. If you want your marriage to be a place of peace , love, joy,and undying friendship, then you must be prepared to make the needed sacrifice to reach this goal.

REMEMBER THE TIMES

Michael Jackson of blessed memory sang the hit song to always remember the good times you had and always focus on the positives of life.
Take yourself back to how it was when you first met your spouse and wanted to build a lifelong relationship with him/her.  What did it feel like? I remember my time , I wanted nothing more than to spend all my time with my spouse. I saw her in everything , I wanted to outdo myself. Take risks, drive all the way from lagos to Ife on Fridays from my work spend my week end with her and drive like mad first thing on Monday morning straight to my office on the Island without any thought for my own safety. it was great.
My security was secondary , my needs came second to hers. Then we got Married and started to take each other for granted . Holding hands stopped having its thrills. spending time together became so normal and began to lose value. I love my wife and would sacrifice anything for her, but unknowingly I had begun to tke her for granted and my marriage began to suffer from the consequences of my attitude.

Let us learn to take time to renew our fealty towards our spouses.

The truth is that  playing the fool in your marriage proves that you are the wise one  with the right attitude and disposition towards making a marriage work. Refuse any counsel to do otherwise.  For a wise woman builds her home , a foolish woman with her hands  destroys her home. Building a home is hard work and is not for babies or  kids, and many a time , others are kept  in wonder on what kind of building the builder is going to come out with.

Let me encourage you who seem to be playing the fool all the time in your marriage, Well done. I salute your courage and commitment to shine in spite of the darkness all around. For you  have shown that you have the understanding and the courage for what it takes to succeed in marriage. Dont loose heart, your partner will catch up sooner or later. Dont take ungodly advice from people that seem not to understand the sacrifice commitment demands. You are too commited to give up on your marriage.
